They say, “behind every fat girl, there is a beautiful woman”. Well,Miss Usha Kiran Nepal has proved this statement by winning very first ‘Nepal’s plus size model- 2019’. She is the best example for manifesting the fact that beauty doesn’t have a weight limit.

On 3rd of July 2019, the grand finale of two different pageants were held collaborating Nepal’s star model season 3 and Nepal’s plus size model 2019 at Rastriya Naach Ghar Jamal, Kathmandu. Mr. Amit Kumar Shah showed a remarkable event management as a fragile duty of an organizer. The grand finale program of the particular event embarked with inauguration ceremony made by the chief guest for evening Mr. Rookmangud Katwal (former Nepalese Army General, Chief of army staff, Nepal army) the chief judges for the evening were Actress Sanjeeta Luitel, Minu Tamang (winner of chubby model), Mr. Anil Bir Singh Tuladhar (CEO and founder of DATFashion-Fashion News Portal, Faculty Namuna College of Fashion Technology), Geena Tamrakar (Media personality) and Mr. Krishna Devkota (social worker).

Besides this the special guests for the event were Aruna Subedi, Rami Shrestha, Uttam KC, Preeti Karki Gurung and Mr. Nabin Agarwal. The peculiar event was supported by Siddhi Media Pvt. With long journey, competition, courage, support and experiences, the crowning day finally came where all the contestants as well as audiences were very excited. The contestants were judged on the basis of their introduction round, cultural fashion show round and finally the question answer round. Miss Mallika Budhathoki was crowned as ‘Nepal’s Star model- 2019 with her intellectual beauty and got awarded with most beautiful award as well. Similarly, Miss Shrijana Mainali was crowned as Nepal’s star model 2019 1st runner up with the subtitle best walk. Lastly, got entitled as Nepal’s star model 2019 2nd runner up with subtitle most confident and bestsmile award.

Moving on with Nepal’s plus size model 2019, Miss Usha Kiran Nepal got crowned as the first Nepal’s plus size model with other awards including Most beautiful award, most photogenic award, beauty with a purpose and multimedia choice award. Mr. Bibek shahwas announced asNepal’s plus size model 2019 1st runner up with subtitles Multimedia award, Mr. handsome and viewer’s choice award. Miss Shilpa Ghaley was crowned as Nepal’s plus size model 2019 2nd runner up with subtitles most bubbly award and most confident award.

A glimpse of entertainment was added at the event by famous dancer Miss Roma Neupane who has become an inspiration for disabled person as well as we youngsters who choose to give up in life easily. The stage glimmered even more with beautiful apparels worn by the contestants designed with love and passion by the very talented young undergraduate designers from Namuna College of Fashion Technology namely Miss Archana Adhikari, Miss Ashmita Paudel, Miss Merina Maharjan, Miss Nabina J Limbu, Miss Neudeena Rai, Miss Nishana Dhakal, Miss Pratigya Paudel, Miss Rashma Karki, Miss Saru Dangol, Miss Sandhya Basnet, Miss Sneha Chapagain, Miss Sunita Yonjan, Miss Sarikshya Adhikari, Miss Jharna Shrestha, Miss Sandhya Shrestha, Miss Ashmita Rai, Mr. Dawa Jangbu Sherpa, Miss Binita Tamang, Miss Shova Ale, Miss Chanda Gurung, Miss Bimala Kamal, Miss Noriko Shrestha, Miss Subiksha Maharjan, Miss Reshma Shrestha.

With the nimble presence of judge panel, audiences and all the aspirants the event of grand finale was held successfully. Nepal got the very first plus size model miss Usha Kiran Nepal and a new star model Miss Mallika Budhathoki for 2019.
