An International Nepali Model: Dipak Ghimire

With an established unique image in the country and International Glamour field, we present you Dipak Ghimire.

Tell us about yourself.

I am a Fashion runway model with 6 ft. 1” height. I have been working as a model in several events for 5 to 6 years. Initially, I started with trainings in Delhi. After training, I came back to Nepal and participated in several events, played in a Punjabi music video during training in Delhi. Then, I went to Dubai and there, I did several runway shows. Finally, I came back to Nepal again, to put my effort of experiences I gained through the runway shows I did. I started busy in working in Fashion field. I’m a fun loving person, love travelling. I’ve also travelled many of the places during runway shows. Recently, I’m busy in some music videos, and managing for the upcoming show “Kumar Sanu Night” on May 26, 2017 at Yak and Yeti Hotel.

 

Why do you work as a model? Why are you interested in this career?

I do work as a model because of my gifted height; J and passion as well. As I mentioned that my height exists 6 ft. 1”, I got a confidence and entered in the Fashion field. If you have a passion and putting your hard, obviously you will get good in return. And, of course, most of the dreams of mine have been fulfilled, I’m happy today. 

What are your goals as a model? How do you see yourself progress in this field?

After I participated to promote a culture in an International platform in New York, I came back to Nepal. I thought to conduct a promotional program like I participated in New York. I created a team and conducted the event, and it was a great achievement.

How often do you travel? What’s the best part about travelling?

I have travelled most of the places during runways shows and events, in Europe, US, Dubai, Malaysia, Kuwait and in Nepal from Eastern region to Far-Western region.

The best part about travelling is learning and increasing networking among different people from different places. We can learn about the culture and living style of the people of the place we travel.

What else are you involved in except the Glamour business?

I have been engaging in Fashion field as a Fashion Runway model for 5 years. Besides, I have involved in an event management, either it is fashion event or musical event.

What kind of challenges you had to face with your initiation?

Initiation without challenges is not possible. Challenges were tough and it exists always. The thing, always to be focused is principle and motive. Hard works can mend the future even there is tough challenges.

What’s your principle or motto of your life?

“Respect the field you choose as a career, it’ll return back you your respect.”

How do you describe your personal style?

I am a fun loving and cool person.

What is your favorite outfit and accessories?

I usually prefer casual wears, wear rings.

Do you eat nutritiously? How often do you exercise or go to the gym?

Yes, I do take nutritious foods.

Nowadays, I am not going for gym. I was in a bed rest because I got a bike accident. From the day I’ve stopped till. Well, I’ll start soon. Laugh!

How do you think women and men should feel like?

Both women and men should feel positive and discipline. They should dress well according to the season and occasion.

What do you want to suggest the young ladies and men who are body conscious?

Always move with a positive thinking, go for a morning walk, and join a fitness class. Positive movements can be supportive.
